Our mission

The Oud-Poelgeest Heritage Foundation maintains, manages, protects and develops the Oud-Poelgeest estate. It ensures that the estate and its monuments are accessible to everyone, now and in the future. The foundation contributes to the experience of the estate, the museum quality of the monuments and the quality of the facilities.

Our vision

The foundation's vision on the continuous development of the Oud-Poelgeest estate is based on the proposition that heritage is not just something from the past that needs to be protected and managed, but is a living entity with a public function in the present and the future. The foundation therefore always strives for an estate that is managed and protected responsibly on the one hand, but is also developed sustainably and transparently for use and experience by its visitors on the other. How the foundation intends to realize this vision in concrete terms is laid down in its multi-year plans that are available to everyone.

Our core values

In its work, the foundation always adheres to the following core values:

Historical integrity: heritage preservation is maintaining the historical integrity of Oud-Poelgeest. This means preserving and respecting the original architecture, landscape and cultural context of the location.

Sustainability and environmental awareness: taking responsibility for the ecological impact of activities on the estate and its surroundings, as well as promoting sustainable practices for conservation and maintenance.

Efficient and transparent governance: Governance is always based on integrity and efficiency, cost awareness, compliance with government compliance requirements and concluded agreements, and accountability for achieved results and working methods.
